ESEA Lit Fest wanted a visual refresh that excited new audiences for their 2025 event. Turning to music festivals and tour posters for inspiration, a contemporary and bold identity was born.
Previously, ESEA Lit Fest marked a new year of their award-winning literary festival with a new primary colour. This year, they wanted to shake up the literary space with an identity that steered away from the more corporate aesthetic of the genre. With an audience spanning Gen-Z to Gen-X, it was important to create an identity that felt fresh and joyous while maintaining an informative and mature voice.
I looked towards musical festival posters to build a stylish and playful base inspired by the formation of artist lineups and tour dates. By pairing sleek typography with bright warm colours and subtle textures, I was able to create ESEA Lit Fest’s desired balance in personality.
